Only a short drive inland from the beaches of Avsallar, the coastline gives way to pine-covered slopes, dry streambeds and winding dirt roads at the foot of the Taurus Mountains. This Avsallar ATV & buggy safari puts you in control for around two hours of guided off-road riding, with an experienced crew leading the convoy from the first briefing to the last bend.

Collected Right From Your Hotel

Shared transfers serve hotels along the coast between Okurcalar and Dinek, including resorts in Avsallar, İncekum, Türkler, Konaklı and central Alanya. The safari sets off twice a day, at 10:00 and at 14:00, and the session time you choose is when the activity begins at the safari base. Your pickup happens earlier, and the exact time is sent to you once your reservation is confirmed.

Solo Handlebars or a Shared Steering Wheel

You decide how you ride. Take a single ATV for yourself or share a double ATV with a passenger behind you. Prefer four wheels and a seat belt? Choose a single or double buggy, or book the family buggy that seats three to four people. No driving licence and no previous off-road experience are needed.

Helmets On and a Practice Lap

At the base, instructors fit your helmet and walk you through the throttle, the brakes and the safe distance to keep between vehicles. A short test drive on the practice area follows, so every rider feels relaxed before the convoy heads for the hills.

Pine Shade, Red Dust and Sticky Mud

The trail climbs away from the coast on forest roads where resin-scented pines give welcome shade. Gravel stretches, bumpy corners and muddy dips keep the ride lively, while guides at the front and the back adjust the pace so beginners and confident drivers can both enjoy it.

Halfway through, the engines go quiet at a scenic spot overlooking the valley. It is the moment to catch your breath, shake off some dust and take photos with the Taurus ridges as your backdrop.

Rolling Back to Base

A final loop brings the group back to the safari base, usually with plenty of mud to show for it. The listed end time marks the close of the activity. The return transfer then takes you back to your hotel, and the arrival time depends on traffic and where you are staying.

Worth Knowing Before You Ride

Children aged 3 to 16 can join as passengers alongside an adult but do not drive. The safari is not recommended for pregnant travellers or anyone with back or neck problems. Wear clothes you will not miss, because dust and mud are part of the fun, and note that heavy rain can lead the operator to move your ride to another day.
