Alanya Mix Safari Tour: Lions, Mountain Tracks and the Emerald Water of Green Lake
One day and three landscapes that have nothing in common. The Alanya mix safari tour lifts you out of the coastal hotel belt into the pine ridges of the Taurus range, sets you down in front of the enclosures at Lion Park and finishes on the still green water held back by the Oymapinar Dam.
Rolling Out of the Resort Belt
Once every guest has been collected the activity gets under way at 09:00. The vehicle turns its back on the promenade and heads inland past banana greenhouses and orange groves towards the first switchbacks of the mountain road.
Where the Taurus Peaks Take Over
Asphalt gives way to gravel. Expect dust on your sunglasses, a few sharp bends and a driver who knows every rut on the track. A viewpoint stop breaks the climb so you can photograph the valley folding away towards the sea.
Eye to Eye with the Lions
The first long halt is Lion Park and your ticket is already covered. Wander at your own pace past the lions and the rest of the collection. Anything bought inside the park such as a souvenir photograph with an animal is settled on the spot.

lots of dust and bumps in the jeep but the scenery made up for it. lunch spot was nice. canyon was the highlight, water color was insane

the whole day was a mixed bag but worthwhile. jeep was bumpy and dusty but kind of part of the adventure i guess. lion park was smaller than i expected. green canyon water was absolutely stunning though, that saved it
