Off-road driving in the Taurus Mountains

Once the asphalt runs out the jeeps turn onto gravel and forest tracks that no coach can reach. The driving is dusty and bumpy and that is exactly the point of it. Hold the rails at the rough sections and expect water to fly between vehicles.

The route pauses on open ledges where the whole coastline lies below you with the castle peninsula on one side and the Mediterranean running to the horizon. You walk into one of the best known caves in the region and follow the lit path between stalactites and stalagmites shaped over thousands of years. Swimming break at Dim Çay River

The Dim Çay comes straight down off the mountains so the water is genuinely cold even in August. Wooden platforms and shaded seating line the bank and you are free to swim or just sit with your feet in the current. Pack a swimsuit and a towel because this is the part of the day nobody wants to miss.

Riverside lunch already in the price

Lunch is served at a restaurant built out over the water and it belongs to your ticket rather than turning up as an extra bill at the table. Expect a hot Turkish main course with salad and bread in a shaded riverside setting. Only drinks are settled separately.

Hotel pickup runs earlier than that and your own pickup time is arranged once your reservation is confirmed because it depends on where you are staying.
