An Early Start on the Anatolian Road
The journey begins with an early departure from your hotel and a first stop at a café for breakfast. Because you leave before hotel breakfast is served, many hotels in Side prepare a packed box on request, and anything bought at the café is not part of the tour price. From here the coach drives for about three hours and fifteen minutes, pauses at a service station for a comfort break, then continues for roughly one hour and fifty minutes into central Anatolia.
Deep Inside Saratlı Underground City
Your first visit is the Saratlı Underground City Museum, and its entrance ticket is included. Chambers, storerooms and narrow passages carved into volcanic rock reveal how local communities once sheltered below ground, while your guide brings the history of the site to life. Low ceilings and uneven steps make sturdy footwear a good idea.
Dovecotes, Castles and Colourful Stones
After lunch at a café in Cappadocia, the afternoon opens at Pigeon Valley, where countless dovecotes are cut into the rock faces.
